Welcome to the Is It? Theatre Company website.
Sadly due to a lack of funding Is It? Theatre Company will be closing on the 13th of July 2012. As a company we are devasted at this closure as we have loved doing this job for the last 7 years. Thank you to all those people who have made it such a joy - it has been a privilege to work with so many great schools and youth groups.
We are hoping that we shall continue in some format - perhaps selling the plays - so please keep checking this website for updates.
Is It? Theatre Company
Is It? Theatre Company is currently touring with four major productions:
"Other" is a play about sexual health, pregnancy and abortion
"Why Don't You Weep?" is a multi-media production about bullying
"Stranger in Her Place" explores the dangers of cannabis use and its effects on mental health. "Wasted" highlights the issue of binge-drinking among teenagers and the problems it causes.
We also offer productions on issues such as self-harm, discrimination, Looked After Children, community cohesion & young people's WAG entitlements.
For more information about these productions please click on the relevant links.
We are very passionate about what we do and truly believe that theatre is an excellent tool for encouraging teenagers to learn about and form their own opinions on certain issues. To further this, we always follow our productions with talkback sessions where we can discuss the subjects, in detail, with the audience.
Due to our increased workload we are always looking for actors to join our mailing list, so we can keep people informed of any roles that are available. If you may be interested, please contact us through the relevant link.
We hope you enjoy looking around our site and finding out more about Is It? Theatre Company. If you would like any further information please contact us.
