Artistic Director, Catherine McGowan, gained her BA Hons. Degree in theatre, media and drama at the University of Glamorgan and has developed a special interest in bringing live theatre to teenagers. She is a director/actor/dancer with considerable practical experience of running workshops for children and adolescents.

Before co-founding Is It? Theatre Company, her last project was teaching and establishing theatre groups and workshops in Belize, a deprived country where nothing of this sort had been done before.

Administrative Director, Julie McGowan has been a writer and journalist for over a decade. Julie originally trained as a nurse and Health Visitor and taught Child Development and Health Education in schools.

Focusing on children and adolescents she now runs successful workshops and drama groups in her home town and much of her published writing has centred on personal and social issues. Her first novel "The Mountains Between" was published in Autumn 2007, becoming a regional bestseller.
