A new production from Is It? Theatre Company coming this September
Chloe is a bright girl with great prospects, but everything changes when she becomes increasingly dependent on cannabis. The play tracks this downward spiral, through interaction with family, school and friends. It highlights the personality changes, lack of motivation, paranoia, and, in some cases, psychotic episodes that this drug, which so many young people think is ‘safe’, can induce. A secondary theme is the moving on to heavier drugs when cannabis no longer gives the same ‘buzz’.
It’s not until tragedy strikes that Chloe realises that she has to face up to what is happening in her life and accept that cannabis use is at the heart of the problem.
As with our other productions, we offer a talkback session at the end of each production.
Running Time: 45 minutes, approx., with a talk-back of up to 40 minutes, which can be flexible to fit in with school timetabling
Recommended age group: 13+
Cost: £220 (We will be trying our best to find funding to off-set this)
