A workshop that encourages teenagers to look at prejudice and intolerance and prevent it happening in their lives.
We developed this workshop on behalf of a Cardiff school who wanted their children to think about different forms of prejudice and the damage it can cause.
The workshop is based around four short performances focusing on prejudice as a result of disability, sexual orientation, lifestyle choices or family circumstances. After each short sketch the actors interact with the children using various techniques to encourage them to think about the issues and share their thoughts and opinions.
Following the positive feedback from the staff and pupils we are now offering this production to all schools.
"I have spoken to a number of the classes who attended, and their feedback has been extremely positive! Please could you pass on my thanks to the group who performed. They were FANTASTIC!"
The workshop lasts for an hour and can be adapted to meet the needs of individual schools. Unlike our other productions this approach works best with smaller groups, so we recommend no more than two form groups per performance. However, due to the quick turnaround time we can fit up to 5 workshops into one school day depending on the timetable.
Age range: 11+
Price: £200 per performance (reductions for a whole day)
